Noted Greenwich Village-based folk musician Jackie Henrion sings the praises of modern-day e-commerce with an exciting new internet-based service.


Jackie Henrion, whose musical influences took root in the beatnik era, is one of the first artists to vigorously adopt promotional technology right out of the cyber age. Henrion, a songwriter, singer and guitarist known for her romantic ballads, wistful odes and introspective narratives, is one of the first full-time professional musicians to promote an entire catalog of work through LicenseQuote, an internet portal that allows artists to license music from their own websites while maintaining complete control over revenue, publicity, legal rights and other aspects of e-commerce.

She considers Peter, Paul & Mary, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Leonard Cohen as a few of her major musical influences. And while her own songs today are intended primarily for audiences of the Baby Boom generation, they easily appeal to people of all ages. She also regularly performs cover versions of songs by other artists. Henrion recently appeared for the third time at the famed Bitter End in New York, and regularly plays at cafes, clubs, workshops and conventions
