Intervoice Expands Asia Pacific Presence with New Office in Shenzhen, China

Intervoice, Inc. (Nasdaq: INTV) today announced that it has expanded its Asia Pacific operations with the opening of a new office in Shenzhen, China and named Ben Hart as Managing Director for its APAC region. Leveraging 25 years of experience, Intervoice is a global leader in delivering innovative IP-based voice portal, contact center, mobile messaging and call completion solutions.

While we continue to experience great success in the APAC market, this region has tremendous potential for both our service provider and enterprise businesses. China is the right location for us to capitalize on regional growth. It is important that we not only have a strong presence in the area but we also have a strong leader, said Frank Sherlock, SVP and Managing Director, Intervoice Ltd. Opening our facility in Shenzhen and bringing Ben on board to lead sales efforts are the right decisions that will allow us to accelerate our position in Asia Pacific generally and the China market specifically.

Hart comes to Intervoice with extensive experience in international sales and business development. Throughout his career he has worked with next-generation technologies and applications. He has lived and worked in China for almost ten years. In his new role, Hart is responsible for overseeing direct sales and channel sales as well as partner development in APAC.

Intervoice has a solid portfolio of IMS-proven call completion and subscriber self-service solutions that is already supported by a strong partner ecosystem. Im excited to join a team that is so very well positioned to take advantage of the huge mobile subscriber base, both in China and throughout the region, commented Hart.

Intervoice developed its presence in APAC by selectively partnering with local and regional sales and distribution leaders such as ITA, Alliance Digital, E@ble, ITApps and Shenzhen-based network equipment provider, Huawei. As a result of these partnerships, Intervoice currently supports customers across a variety of industries throughout the region, including banking, insurance, logistics, manufacturing, telecommunications and the public sector.

An example of recent success that Intervoice experienced in the APAC region was announced on February 18. Intervoice announced a significant contract win with a leading mobile service provider in APAC that chose Intervoice to differentiate itself from the competition. The service provider is migrating its network to Intervoice Media Exchange, expanding its Short Messaging Service (SMS) capacity and adding new payment features to its platform.
